DTF Pressing Instructions: Your Step-by-Step Guide to Perfect Prints!

Ready to bring your DTF designs to life? Follow these easy steps to ensure a flawless transfer every time:

1. Prepare Your Materials:

  • DTF Transfers: Make sure your film is clean and free of any smudges or dust.
  • Garment: Your fabric should be pre-washed, wrinkle-free, and heat-resistant.

2. Preheat Your Press:

  • Temperature: Set your heat press to 320-330°F (160-165°C).
  • Pressure: Use medium to firm pressure.

3. Position the Transfer:

  • Place Your Transfer: Position your DTF transfer film on your garment where you want it to appear. Ensure it's centered and aligned correctly.

4. Apply the Transfer:

  • Pressing Time: Close the press and apply heat for 10-15 seconds.
  • Pressure: Maintain medium to firm pressure throughout the pressing time.

5. Peel Off the Film:

  • Cool or Warm Peel: After pressing, allow the transfer to cool slightly (for a warm peel) or cool completely (for a cold peel) before carefully peeling off the film. Follow the specific instructions on your transfer for best results.

6. Post-Pressing (Optional):

  • Additional Heat: For added durability, you can press the garment again with a piece of parchment paper or a Teflon sheet over the design for another 5-10 seconds.

7. Let it Set:

  • Allow your garment to rest for 24 hours before washing to ensure the transfer adheres properly.

8. Washing Instructions:

  • Care: Wash your garment inside out in cold water and tumble dry on low heat. Avoid using bleach or harsh detergents to keep your design looking its best.

Pro Tips:

  • Always test on a sample garment if you’re trying a new transfer or fabric.
  • Ensure even pressure across the entire design to avoid uneven transfers.
  • Keep your heat press clean for the best results.

Feel free to adjust the temperature, time, and other specifics based on your equipment and transfer materials!
